You Provide:
Equipment
__ Backpack - sturdy with good hip belt - minimum bag size recommended - 3500cubic inch.
__ Sleeping pad – Therma-rest or equivalent
__ Sleeping bag – warm to 45 degrees or colder
__ Sleeping bag stuff sack - nylon with plastic sack liner to keep bag dry
__ 2 Sleeping bag straps - nylon with buckle, not bungee type
__ Drinking cup – plastic, not metal
__ Bowl – large plastic
__ Eating spoon - large
__ 2 Water bottles – wide mouth with name or initials written on them
__ Pocket knife - small
__ Disposable lighter or matches - in waterproof container
__ Headlamp or small flashlight - with extra batteries and bulb
__ Sunglasses - UV and polarizing
__ 2 Trash bags - emergency shelter and/or pack rain cover
__ Travel/Duffel bag – (for spare clothes, etc, store at Base. Mark all personal items with your name).

Clothing
__ 1 Change underwear – (store in travel bag)
__ 3 T-shirts – (wear 1, carry 1, store 1) A Class B uniform scout T- shirt will be worn during program activities at Sheppard Base. Wearing a complete Class A field uniform during Sheppard Base dinner and ceremonies is encouraged.
__ Long underwear - lightweight poly or wool (not cotton), long sleeved top and bottom, (cold weather back up)
__ Warm hat – poly or wool
__ Sun hat - ball cap and/or bandana
__ Lightweight gloves – poly or wool (no cotton)
__ Warm shirt - long sleeved poly or wool (no cotton)
__ 2nd Warm shirt, jacket or sweater – poly fleece, down or wool, roomy to fit OVER other layers.
__ Hiking shorts – not cotton
__ Warm pants – poly or wool (not cotton), legs open wide to go on OVER boots
__ 5 pr socks – 3 light, 2 heavyweight, poly or wool (not cotton), (wear 2, carry 2, store 1)
__ Raincoat or poncho - Gore-tex or coated nylon with hood (no poncho)
__ Rain pants, chaps or poncho - Gore-tex or coated nylon, legs open wide enough to put on OVER boots
__ Hiking boots - broken in, waterproof treated
__ Travel clothes – (store at Base)

Note: Pack clothes in plastic bags to keep them dry inside pack.

Fishing Information - All persons fishing age 15 and over require a license - $5.48 res/non-res. Ages 16-69 - $21.90 resident. Nonresident - $43.80. Catch and release practiced for Dolle Varden. Daily limit 5, no size minimum. Licenses must be purchased before arriving at camp from any license outlet or on line. The Greenwater Store sells licenses 7AM - 7PM.
Note: In addition to the personal equipment listed above you will be required to carry a share of group gear such as food, fuel, stoves and tents. You must be able to load your pack with your equipment as to leave additional room for group gear. Mark all personal items with your name.
