The Trek:
Your adventure begins when your unit selects where they want to hike that is not on one of our
established trek routes! This unique trek will offer a unit or group an opportunity to plan a trek for
themselves by talking to friends, studying maps and books to select a route complete with fishing lakes to
go along with great views. We’ll provide the leaders, group gear and food plus help you plan the trek.
How about hiking over famous passes in the North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake Recreation Area
or Glacier Peak Wilderness. It’s your choice, we can take you there.
We offer daily decision making and leadership by the trekkers, patrol building, menu planning, Leave No
Trace camping, some cross country hiking, problem solving, exploration, merit badge work, Ranger
Award experience, individual recognition and excitement. This special experience can teach trekkers
many valuable skills of a trek planing and leadership. We can go, let’s trek!

Suggested physical training before the trek: Cardio-vascular exercise such as hiking with a loaded pack, biking, running and weight training.
