-Sample Itinerary-
Sunday - Bus pick up at SeaTac airport at 12 noon and/or arrive at Camp Sheppard High Adventure Base by 1PM. Introductions, trek orientation, equipment check. Instruction: Dressing for the mountains and pack packing. Gear and food issue. Bus shuttle to the Sunrise trailhead. Hike 3.5 miles to Berkley Park Camp Elev. 5375.' Instruction: Camp site selection and prep plus tarp pitching, Dinner. Instruction: Stove use and care, basic cooking, water treatment and illness, sanitation and hygiene, bear camping techniques, body comfort control, hypothermia and emergency procedures. Free time.

Monday - Breakfast, break camp, hike 3.8 miles to Grand Park for a scenic lunch. Hike 3.8 miles to Fire Creek camp. Elev. 4300’, 7.6 miles total. Instruction: Energy conservation, plant and animal identification and foot care. Make camp, free time, Dinner. Instruction: Food planning, wilderness ethics,land use polices, Leave No Trace, (remove duplicate) land use policies, daily travel planning and High Adventure history. Free time.

Tuesday - Breakfast, break camp, hike 6 miles to Windy Gap for lunch. Instruction: Stream crossing, glaciology, geology nutrition and hydration. Hike 5.3 miles to Ipsut Creek Camp, Elev. 3200’, 11.3 miles total. Make camp, Dinner, free time

Wednesday - Breakfast, break camp, Hike 5.8 miles to Tolmie Pk. Lookout, Elev. 5940’ for Lunch. Instruction: Map reading, compass and GPS use, route finding/ travel techniques. Hike 3.4 miles to Mowich Lake campground, Elev. 4930’, 9.2 miles total. Make camp. Instruction: Problem solving, service project. Dinner, free time, camp fire.

Thursday - Breakfast, break camp, hike 3.8 miles to Spray Park for lunch. Hike 2.7 miles to Cataract Valley camp. 6.5 miles total, Make camp. Dinner. Free time.

Friday - Breakfast, break camp, hike 6.5 miles to Mystic Lake camp, Lunch, make camp, Dinner.
Instruction; mountain ecosystems/ habitats, weather, lighting and avalanche, Free time.

Saturday - Breakfast, break camp, hike 5.5 miles to Granite Creek Camp for lunch. Hike 4.4 miles to Sunrise Ranger Station. 11.1 miles total. Group picture, bus ride back to Camp Sheppard Base, clean up, turn in gear, BBQ Dinner and recognition ceremony, local trekkers leave for home, free time. Guests are invited to a 5PM all-you-can-eat BBQ chicken dinner at our Camp Sheppard Base for $5 per person. They should contact base before arrival please.

Sunday - Early breakfast, bus shuttle to Sea-Tac airport by 9AM.
