Sample Itinerary

 

Day 1, Sunday - Bus pick from Sea-Tac airport by 12 noon, Travel 30 minutes to bike shop to pick up rental bikes. Travel 30 minutes to Camp Sheppard High Adventure Base, cabin assignment, meet staff, course description, equipment check, dinner, map, compass, GPS and pace instruction, gear issue and check.
Day 2, Monday - Early breakfast, bus shuttle to START point, plot course from Start to Transition PC, begin hike to PC 1 then continue course towards Transition PC.
Day 3, Tuesday - Continue course to transition PC for re-supply and switch gear for mountain bike travel. Plot course to next Transition PC and proceed to the next PC.
Day 4, Wednesday - Re-supply and switch back to hiking gear. Plot course to next Transition PC, hike to next PC.
Day 5, Thursday - Hike to next PC
Day 6, Friday - Hike to Transition PC. Re-supply and exchange backpack gear for mountain bike gear. Bike to next PC and Finish Line. Record time, check passport with contest staff. Return to Base, turn in gear, clean up, group picture, BBQ dinner with awards ceremony, local Challengers leave for home.
Day 7- Breakfast in lodge, return bikes to rental shop, travel to Sea-Tac airport by 10 AM.
