So . . .  what is this trip all about?  What will it be like? What is the route?  What to bring?  What distances are we covering?

Over the next pages, linked at the top of this page, are the details of the trip.  All are negotiable, suggestions are welcome.  I have a general idea of what I’d like to see in this trip: 2 weeks of cross country travel along a high route south along the Cathedral Range, climbing as many peaks as possible from Cathedral peak at the north end to the southern anchors of the range, Banner Peak and Mt. Ritter and the Minarets.  Both Cathedral and Ritter were first ascents of John Muir, Cathedral in 1869, Ritter a few years later.
